Pessara Avakaya is a traditional Andhra delicacy, known for its spicy and tangy flavour. It’s a unique pickle made with moong dal and a blend of spices. Pessara Avakaya is a specialty of Mandhara. It’s very good for children and elderly.

Ingredients:

Mango, Moong dal, Mustard, Fenugreek seeds, Sesame oil, Garlic, Salt, Chilli powder and Turmeric.

Can be used with:

Plain rice, curd rice, dosa, chapati etc.

Additional information:

Shelf life - Best before 6-9 months.

Storage - store in a glass jar. Store it in the refrigerator for a longer life and freshness. Use dry spoon to serve for long lasting freshness. Retain oil on top of the container to avoid spoilage.
