Guntur Gongura pickle is a popular and spicy Indian pickle made from gongura (sorrel leaves) and is particularly well-known in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. The Gongura leaves have a tangy, slightly sour flavour, which pairs perfectly with the heat from spices and chilies.

Mandhara’s Gongura pickle is very spicy and tangy.

Ingredients:

Gongura leaf, Sesame oil, Red chilli, Coriander seeds, Fennel, Mustard, Garlic, Asafoetida, Curry leaves,Channa dal and Urud dal.

Directions to use:

It comes with minimum seasoning. Adding fresh seasoning again with mustard seeds and curry leaves to the desired quantity of consumption enhances its flavour and aroma. Try having Gongura pickle with freshly cut onion chunks.

Can be used with:

Rice, roti and dosa.

Shelf life - Best before 6-9 months.

Storage - store in a glass jar. Store it in the refrigerator for a longer life and freshness. Use dry spoon to serve for long lasting freshness. Retain oil on top of the container to avoid spoilage.
